Vallentuna folk dance group was established in 1963 in order to spread the interest in folk dancing and to preserve the knowledge of folk dancing in the region. The group consist of around 40 members of different age. During the years, the folk dance group has been active in Vallentuna municipality and participated in many events involving dance, music and theatre, both within and outside the municipality.

Vallentuna folk dance group conducts weekly training of folk dances from different regions of Sweden and various periods in our history.

The folk dance group also travels to other countries to participate in folklore festivals and/or to visit other folk dancing groups to experience other cultures and to learn new dances.
